Survey News : The Worst Travelers
A recent survey news report done by LivingSocial lists Americans as the worst travelers of any other country.
5,600 took part in a “Who is the worst travelers” survey news inquiry and amazingly, Americans voted themselves as having the worst attitudes. 4000 Americans voted for themselves with the remaining 1600 votes being Australian, Canadian, English and Irish.
Canadians and Australians put America on the top of the list while United Kingdom residents gave Germans the big comes up as number one. 37% of the American survey opted for none of the above in the answer. Of the list of 16 nationalities, it’s not a big surprise that the United States to number one. The survey news report uncovered that four in 10 US survey takers said that they had stolen an item or two from the hotel states stayed in. The item mostly stolen, towels at 28%, towered over 8% saying they had stolen a bath robe. Other popular items included but were not limited to remote controls, pillows, bed sheets and can you believe Bibles!
Survey News Time Off Stats
Also being compared in the latest survey news, Americans were given less time off from work than any other nationality in the world. Topping the list of the number of days off per year with the Irish with 28 days followed by Australians with 27. UK workers were given on average 23 days a year off and the Canadians taking second to last with 21 days. Americans brought up the bottom of the list with an average of 16 days off a year.

Survey news found that 78% of the American survey volunteers said they visited at least one foreign country and write about 61% said they had been to multiple foreign countries. What’s controversial about this is the fact that only about 37% of US citizens possess a passport. Some other interesting facts is that Americans reported that the biggest problem with travel was lost luggage. Along with the airlines causing major problems, weather shared the number one spot at 21%, close second…. Americans, 16%, admitted that getting lost was a very common travel disaster.
Survey News Destinations
According to survey news reports, Las Vegas and Disney World were of course on the top 10 of most wanted places to visit by Americans, but they didn’t even come close to number one. And amazingly, New York City never made the top 10.
